What about you?

As a teenager I day-dreamed about who my husband would be, what would he look like, and what kind of person he would be?

I remember wondering about how many children I would have and would I EVER really be a grandma?

Here I am at age 50. (Still in shock) I have a very handsome, outstanding, supportive, loving, surfer husband. Four creative, fantastic, giving, caring, children with two more added through marriage and guess what? I MADE IT TO GRANDMA!! Is'nt she beautiful?

You do have a wonderful family. You and Lon have made your children a priority and it shows. Let your love and devotion be an example for others to follow. Too many people have unfortunately forgotten what is truly important in life. It is so refreshing to see that even in this day and age, you continue to focus on traditional ideals and values.

We love you!!! xo

I've been reflecting on that very thing today...the course of life, and my view from now as opposed to when I was young. It's easy and hard at the same time to realize that we're the grandparents. But don't those grandbabies just make up for the wrinkles & hot flashes??!! Well, aren't they precious anyway???? ;o)

"Becky Sue! I don't know what you're talking about;I've yet to have a hot flash or a wrinkle!!!"

...I'd like only like to say I have laughing lines, but as was said by dear Mr. Olson to his wife on [Little House on the Prairie] "NOTHING IS THAT FUNNY!"

Mom, this made me tear up! I know exactly how you feel, as most women do, to look back at being a teenager and wondering where life would take me. I still have MANY dreams to fulfill; children, a home, education, etc. But my life thus far is greater than I could have dreamed for myself-my AMAZING husband, my cute and comfortable home, my family life, having served a mission and so many other blessings. I am SO blessed to have a mom like you to have helped me to accomplish so many dreams!

Natalie, I too was touched by your reflections and feelings on life and family. I have to agree - you DO HAVE a wonderful husband and beautiful, fun children. Not to mention that precious, adorably squeezable grandbaby.

Hi Janet! How can I get to your blog? (I'm new at this) and a lot of the time can seem to get a comment in anywhere but Kellie's blog. :(

"Thanks for saying hi, that was a fun surprise!!"

Hi Monica, How are you? I'm glad you commented. Your always welcome! Your mom should start a blog. Blogs help release stress.
Woman helping woman with up lifting and honest comments. It's good food for the soul!
