I'm not stretching the truth when I say; I adore this daughter in law of ours. She is so important to our family. She is the best wife and mother and daughter and friend. We love to watch her in action because she is so fun, loving, kind and patient. Yesterday we tried to celebrate her birthday and nothing went as planned. I bought the cutest balloons and candles but could I find them?? NO, (still can't!) So this is the boring dry cake she got. Then both Lon and I had to leave early but luckily Kellie and Brett and Sarah and Bryant and family and Kacey and JJ and grandma Hess were all here to make it worth while. (I heard Sarah and Bryant broke out in song) Sorry I missed that!
The best part is that Kristi and I were able to make up for my mistakes by taking care of this little girl that we love so much while Kyle and Amy spent a day together. "Happy Birthday Amy" I hope you believe me when I say; we do love you!!

appreciates all of the acknowledgement you give her. I'm sure she had big shoes to fill, being that she is the wife to your only son. How blessed she is to have a friendship with you and to know how much she means to you. :)

I would bet that Amy loved the b'day celebration regardless of the missing candles. Sounds like you and Lon missed a lot of the fun though. I'm a little jealous of all the fun I hear you have at your house. It's the "IN" place to be!
HEY!!! You figured your blog problem out!! How did you do it?? I LOOOOVE Amy too, Mom! Seriously, how did we become so blessed to have HER as a part of this family? I thought the bash turned out GREAT!! Thanks for having us ALL over, mom! it was SO fun!!
