1-2-3!
It's somewhat difficult to believe that next month (Oct) and also in April of 2010 we will have more of these cute grand kids running around!
It amazes me how smart the little ones are these day's! I'm going to start sounding like a grandma now, but I can't help it! Kids know more than we can even imagine. They teach us grownups something new everyday.
I'll always remember what Larry (my father in law) shared with me.
He said grand kids are grandparents 2nd chance to parenting correctly.
He is so right!

Summer day's at the Thompson home
Here is the night of the 4th of July. Our friends the "Bakkers" and "JJ and Kacey" came over to help us celebrate. It was a fun day.
This is my amazing mother.
Audrey was named after her "grandma great." If Audrey grows up and is the kind of person my mother is, she'll be loved by many.
Here is Shelby. She has been a great watch dog!. When the kids run out back to jump on the trampoline she'll follow them and lay on the grass to watch over them. She really is a good pet but I worry about anyone she doesn't know who comes up to pet her. She's been known to snip hands and it worries me with the new grand kids.

And then there were 3
A riddle for you.
We have one beautiful grand daughter 1 1/2 years old
We have a grand daughter due in October, 2009
Another grand baby is due in March, 2010
Who are the lucky parents?

Feeling better...
Today I wasn't feeling very well (Going through the change; I guess!) I started looking up depression on "Google" and this sweet lady came up.
"Depression cooking with Clara"
She is so much fun to watch; she talks about growing up during the depression and her cooking tips are great!
I don't even know her and she cheered me up!

Happiness is...
My happiness is...
Having fun with family!
Audrey's smile...
Going on car rides.
Lon playing the piano while we hurry around getting ready to go out for the day.
Lon playing the piano while we hurry around getting ready to go out for the day.
It hasn't been such a bad day after all because...
Happiness is finding a pencil
Pizza with sausage
Telling the time
Happiness is learning to whistle
Tying your shoe for the very first time
Happiness is playing the drum in your own school band
And happiness is walking hand in hand
Happiness is two kinds of ice cream
Knowing a secret
Climbing a tree
Happiness is five different crayons
Catching a firefly, setting him free
Happiness is being alone every now and then
And happiness is coming home again
Happiness is morning and evening daytime and nighttime too
Happiness is having a sister and having a brother (Shelley and Randy)
Sharing a sandwich
Getting along
Happiness is singing together when day is through
And happiness is those who sing with you
For happiness is anyone and anything at all that's loved by you!

hush
Author: Unknown
Hush little child,
whimpering in dreams your all cosy and warm,
wrapped in rainbows and moon beams outside the wind howls,
there's frost on the ground
And Autumn is whining,
its early warning sound
so hush my baby,
there's no cause for alarm for in your life,
you'll face many a storm
But with God at your side,
there is nothing to fear
Because his love and affection,
will always be near.
I can't even start to express how happy we are that we are having another grand daughter! I found this sweet poem today and couldn't help but think about what kind of parents Brett and Kellie are going to be for this little girl.
I was also thinking that maybe these two kids will have a bonded "cousin friendship" like Kacey and Sandy, how fun would that be?
~Sunday Amy and Kyle and Audrey visited our church meeting and Audrey came over and gave me a huge and tight hug! Such a speacial feeling for a grandma. Now I will have two grand daughters to spoil and love. (Love being first!)
I had a fantastic mothers day! "Thank you Kyle~Amy~ Audrey, Kellie~Brett, Kacey~JJ and Kristi! Dinner was great and I loved the whole day...

It's been 5 years already that Kyle proposed to Amy at the beach. He had a fake plastic ring that looked like an old telephone cord.
(it was a child's ring)
He had a beautiful bouquet of red roses in his car with the "real ring" stuck deep inside the stems. When they got back to her house Amy shared their big news with her mom and dad. They were happy to hear the news but I'm not sure how impressed they were when they saw the plastic ring on her finger.

They went into the kitchen to put the flowers in a vase and that where Amy found her engagement ring.
~Happy Anniversary Kyle and Amy~
